Day1 Arrive in Guiyang
Our tour guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Guiyang Airport and take you to your hotel. If time permits, you will have a short break before visiting Qingyan Ancient Town. Located in the southern suburbs of Guiyang City, it is one of the four most famous ancient towns in Guizhou Province. With a history of about 620 years, the town is famous for its well-preserved ancient buildings and elegant natural landscapes.
Day 2 Guiyang-Kaili (Miao Minority Village) with breakfast and lunch
In the morning, you will depart for Kaili for a two-day private tour of the Miao ethnic minority. The first stop will be the Qingman Long Skirt Miao Village. It is so named because the Miao people in the village all wear long skirts. The hospitable Miao villagers will welcome you into the village with block way wine. The centuries-old village still retains its original appearance: bluestone roads, wooden stilt houses and Miao people in traditional costumes and silver headdresses. You will also visit a local family to get up close and personal with the Miao people and enjoy lunch in the family home. Afterwards, continue to visit Shiqiaomiao Village to learn how paper is made in the traditional way. As one of the four great inventions of ancient China, the traditional method uses tree roots and bark to make paper. Papermaking in Shiqiaomiao Village has a history of more than 1,000 years and is regarded as a "living fossil" in papermaking research. The last stop today is another Long Skirt Miao Village, Bojimiao Village, where more than 100 Miao families have lived for generations and is famous for its tranquility and idyllic scenery.
Day 3 Kaili (Miao Minority Village) with Breakfast and Lunch
Your private tour of the Miao ethnic minority continues today. After breakfast, visit the local market, where many Miao handicrafts, snacks and fresh vegetables are gathered.
If it happens to be Sunday, the market will be more lively and bustling, and the locals also call it the Sunday market. Then go to Jidao Miao Village, a well-preserved village with a strong Miao flavor, famous for its centuries-old Miao folk songs, granaries and bluestone roads. Your next stop is the famous Langde Miao Village. Langde Miao Village is located about 31 miles south of Kaili City, surrounded by mountains on all sides, with wooden stilt houses, winding mountain roads and well-preserved wind and rain bridges. You will enjoy the characteristic dance and singing performances of local villagers
